I’ve always had a love for dogs but it was with my current dog, Manny, who led me down the path to make a career out of training dogs. I grew up with Labs, Rottweilers, and German Shepherds. My family always had dogs. I couldn’t imagine dogs not being a part of my family and my life.
I have been working in the corporate world for health insurance companies for over 10 years. It was time for a change and I wanted to do something I enjoyed every day! I wanted to follow my dream and start a new career working with dogs. Once I chose this direction, I started researching options to become a trainer. As part of the Animal Behavior College curriculum you have to volunteer so many hours at a local animal shelter to complete the program. I continue volunteering at my local shelter to help shelter dogs become more adoptable. I also held the position of Assistant Animal Control Officer with the Town of Wilton, CT. It was through my shelter work at ABC that led me to continue in this field. I also offer private lessons, group obedience classes, and Canine CPR classes. I am a Member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers , a Red Cross Instructor for Dog First Aid and CPR, Valley Chapter, and an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator #40284. I am also the event coordinator for the Boston Terrier Club of CT Rescue. I live with my husband Patrick and my inspiration dog Manny , a brindle and white Boston Terrier. My goal is to help families with dogs live a rewarding life together!
