Initial Consult (60min) $160

All new clients are required to begin with an initial consultation. We will discuss your training goals and create a personalized training plan.

Once we discuss your dog and training needs, we will advise on a training package.

All consults are to answer all your questions and get started with a training plan.

Some consults are done virtually depending on your dog's behavior issues.

The Consultation is a stand-alone service. It is treated as a single session. It is intended to be the first part of a training plan, with the second part being single training sessions or a multi-session package.

We will implement management strategies right away, to break the cycle of unwanted behaviors. Finally, we will begin to teach your dog what TO DO, with foundation training exercises.

We will cover quite a bit in 60 minutes! You will receive a follow-up email with detailed review, helpful links and videos. Armed with a new understanding of canine behavior and your first homework, you and your dog will have taken the first big step on your training journey together.

Separation Anxiety

Is your dog panicking when you leave her alone? Are your neighbors beginning to complain about incessant barking? Is your dog destroying your house? Separation Anxiety is a heartbreaking condition, and it can be difficult to navigate.

How does the process work?

Follow-up 30 minute phone conversation to discuss the process in more depth
Gather all the supplies necessary, including a doggy camera
Schedule 4 virtual sessions with me at your convenience
Receive emails with homework and feedback on your progress

Why is this training virtual? Training for separation anxiety requires that we teach your dog how to be confident when they spend time alone at home. We will be observing them together, via live video chat, so they can practice being truly alone. Virtual training like this will give us a clear picture of what is going on when you leave the house, without any interference of your dog’s routine. This will all be discussed during our phone conversation after you have completed our questionnaire.

Our one-on-one virtual private training lessons are a flexible and convenient solution to tackling ongoing behavioral issues. From training new puppies in their first days home, to working with unruly teenage dogs, to more serious issues like aggression, we can address it all via Zoom, Skype ,or Google Meet.

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

Full payment within 24 hours after dates are scheduled is required to confirm your appointments.

Private Lessons are non-refundable and non-transferrable. We do not offer refunds on unscheduled lessons. All sales and payments are final.

One Smart Dog, LLC reserves the right to terminate the training contract at any time before or during its term if Trainer determines that a danger exists to the health and safety of the public, Trainer, owner or dog. Should the Trainer or Owner terminate the training contract at any time prior to completion, all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Contracts for on-going training are automatically terminated if we do not hear from the client for a period of 90 days. After 90 days, on-going training contract will cease. No refund will be issued for any lessons or classes remaining on contract.

MEDIA RELEASE

One Smart Dog, LLC may use pictures/videos of me or my dog for publicity or promotional purposes, without any liability or obligation of any kind to me.

GUARANTEE

Our services are not guaranteed. Dog behavior is not static and can change over time due to developmental periods, aging, and health. Pet owners influence their dog’s behavior and must do the assigned training homework for optimal results.

TRAINING SUPPLIES

Clients are responsible for providing the necessary materials needed for training. Including, but not limited to: treats, toys, leash, collar, harness, etc.

TRAINING METHODS

One Smart Dog uses reward-based methods that are backed by science to modify your dog's behavior. Because a reward makes your dog more likely to repeat the behavior, positive reinforcement is one of your most powerful tools for shaping or changing your dog’s behavior. The use of pain, fear, or intimidation may lead to fear or aggression.

PRIVATE TRAINING NO-SHOW

All no-show sessions will be forfeited automatically. There is $25 no-show fee that must be paid after a missed appointment within 24 hours in order to continue training.
