Early intervention focused on early socialization and behavior is the key to a happy lifelong relationship with your dog. . It’s important that your puppy learns to be comfortable in strange settings and situations and to adapt to the world around him and feel at ease with other dogs and people.

We’ll train the following core behaviors:
Sit, Down, Place, Come, Stay, Walk on a Loose Leash, and Leave It.
You graduated from Basic Manners Obedience. Now let’s cement prior skills and teach new exercises. Prep class for AKC Canine Good Citizen Test.
Skills taught: Heeling, Off-leash heeling, Distance sits, Distance downs, Come with greater distance and distractions,
This class is designed to take your training to the next level! You must have already completed our beginner skills class and intermediate skills class (or done equivalent training elsewhere). In this class we’ll work on increasing the level of difficulty for place, heel, and stays and working around real life distractions. Some classes will be held at the facility and some will be held at public locations.
Why teach tricks and agility? Not just because they are fun! These activities can be a valuable learning experience for you and your dog. They help you teach your dog to think and solve problems with you as a team, help you perfect your timing, and engage your dog’s interest in fun activities. Earn an AKC Trick Dog Title.
Having your dog run to you when you call is one of the most satisfying aspects of your relationship with your dog. The focus of this class is building a reliable recall even in the face of distraction. You will learn to prompt, reinforce and save recalls in challenging situations.
Build your dog’s ability to relax, focus, and work reliably in either stimulating or stressful situations using training games that increase attention, reduce the power of stressors and the pull of distractions while you and your dog have fun in a friendly, safe, and supportive environment. With an emphasis on handler focus and impulse control in the presence of common distractions, this class is a must for any handler of a young, easily distracted, impulsive or insecure dog.
Rally is an interesting test of obedience skills where you and your dog navigate a course of signage at your own pace–think of it as an obstacle course with directions. You interpret and properly navigate the signs, while your dog learns to follow your lead. Rally is a fun intro to the world of competition and a great way to sharpen your dog's loose leash walking skills.

Does your dog lunge, bark, growl, or overreact to dogs, people, or other stimuli? This program will teach you how to handle the difficult situations that arise when you live with or walk a reactive dog.
This program is not only good for dogs that react to other dogs; it is also the only option for dogs that are reactive to people, including those coming into your home, or dogs spooked by bikes, joggers, or other indoor or outdoor triggers.
Public Pooches group dog class, is designed to build confidence, enhance obedience, and strengthen the bond between you and your furry friend in real-world settings! We take training out of the classroom and into the community! Learn to navigate parks, sidewalks, and pet-friendly establishments with ease.
PLEASE NOTE: If your dog has ever bitten a person or another animal or lunges/growls/barks at people or dogs group class may not be the right fit for your dog.

Disruptive behaviors include (but are not limited to): Excessive barking, lunging, attempts to bite other dogs or people.
ORIENTATION CLASS FOR PUPPY START RIGHT AND SMART DOG BASICS IS HUMANS ONLY. PLEASE LEAVE YOUR DOGS AT HOME FOR ORIENTATION.
Payment is due prior to the beginning of class and is NON REFUNDABLE or TRANSFERABLE. We do not provide refunds for group classes once you have paid to secure a spot in class .
THERE IS NO REFUNDS ONCE YOU HAVE REGISTERED. NO EXCEPTIONS. PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY.
If instructors determine a dog is inappropriate for group classes, we reserve the right to remove the dog and handler from the program.
Children must be 7 years of age to attend class.
It is your responsibility to attend all classes so please plan accordingly. If you miss a class, you forfeit it, although we will do our best to catch you up the following week. If you like, you can make up the class by by scheduling a 30 min private lesson for a fee of $35.
